This study aims to determine the socio-demographic characteristics and post-reconditioning health-related physical fitness of athletes undergoing Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction in Indonesia. This cross-sectional study utilized an analytical descriptive approach based on secondary data from hospital medical records in South Tangerang over a two-year period. The results show that the majority of subjects are male, over 25 years of age, have a primary to secondary level of education, are amateur athletes participating in contact sports, sustained injuries during non-contact training, presented with a single knee injury, and demonstrated good exercise compliance. Most subjects achieved a good level of post-reconditioning physical fitness across cardiorespiratory endurance, muscle strength, muscle endurance, and flexibility. A key finding indicates that the level of compliance is a variable that contributes significantly to muscle strength and muscle endurance. In conclusion, the reconditioning program at Hospital X provides a good level of physical fitness, with the level of exercise compliance serving as the most significant contributing factor.
